Question Who's harvesting?

Anyone started harvest? I saw a few fields in south-central MN harvested this past weekend, but no machinery out continuing harvest.

Tell us where you live, what you're harvesting and how much you've completed.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Default Michigan

Southern Michigan is just beginning some early Soybean Harvest. Indications are a super yield on relatively short stature beans
60+/bu/Acre. Winter wheat planting is going to be late except in the Thumb where the Dry bean and Sugar beet harvest is allowing for places to plant wheat. If we get killing frost this week most corn will not have reached maturity and we will be in for low test weight High moisture situation.

Thanks for the info!

Glad to hear it looks like a good soybean crop!

Let's hope a killing frost holds out for a while so corn can reach optimal maturity.

Default Frost

We are supposed to touch 31 on Wed. night. Shouldnt be a killer and then we will have another week before the next chance. With the cool weather we need a miracle to get the corn to Black layer.

Northeast South Dakota: Haven't had a hard freeze yet. Been a little soybeans harvested. Some silage yet to be chopped. Very wet ground.

Default Frosted

We were frosted off last week Oct 1. Most beans were ready for a freeze most corn was not to black layer...can't wait to see how this mess shapes up with wet corn.

Default Started here.. but going slow

NW part of Missouri here; we had just 7/10 an inch of rain; the big rains went to our south with over 5" in some places; but corn is maturing slowly and still moisture levels near 20%; we have harvested about 60 ac and it ran 160-180 bu.

Also have done the mature soybeans about 100 ac that made 55bu; hoping to get back to them maybe Sunday.

Had a hard freeze the night of October 8. Killed a lot of green corn. Had about an inch of snow the night of October 9, which is rather unusual to have so much snow so early. Cold and wet and dreary and miserable and pessimistic. I would think crop prices would be bullish if this doesn't let up.
